A tumbler, thrown in a coarse clay, then faceted on the outside with a knife.
The coarse clay has a noticeable grain to it, as the particles in the clay are dragged along the surface by the knife.
Fired unglazed, there is a significant build up of ash from the flames, both inside the tumbler and on the side facing the flames, then each side of that there is a glossier finish to the clay, with a matt finish at the back where it was more sheltered in the kiln.
Ideal for use as a tumbler or as a small plant pot.
