A small faceted earthenware bowl. On the outside, alternate facets have been covered in white slip, and then the whole outside is glazed with a clear, highly reactive cryolite based glaze. Where sliipped, this jut has a silk glaze, but on the bare clay it has reacted with the the iron in the clay to form a lush rich honey colour that has flaked off in some places to leave a matt dark brown, slightly textured surface. . Inside is finished with a silk glaze over a white slip.
