Large bowl, ideal for use as a fruit bowl, or for salad, or serving from, or just for putting bits and pieces in.
Thrown from a coarse, high iron clay and then fired unglazed for 3 days, the clay has mostly taken on a dark maroon/brown hue, with a light sheen. In places where ash from the flames has landed, the molten ash has given it a golden sandy colour. In one place on the outside there is a small grey scar where another pot came too close during the firing.
Note that is this piece is made from a coarse clay and is not glazed, it has a slightly sandy, rough finish to it.
